GN 1/1 Thermobox Polystyrene – simple and dependable

These Gastronorm 1/1 insulated boxes are simple but dependable polystyrene models in the thermohauser product range. Insulated boxes with temperature characteristics that reliably meet the high requirements of the catering and delivery service industries. 

Unlike the classic thermohauser insulated boxes made from EPP (expanded polypropylene), this food transportation box range is made from EPS (expanded polystyrene) – also known by the registered brand name Styropor.

Insulated boxes made from EPS are also highly insulating, hygiene safe and are very lightweight when empty – properties that are highly relevant for transporting food and ready prepared meals. However this material is considerably less resilient and hard-wearing, so it is generally less durable. Polystyrene boxes can easily be washed by hand under running hot water.

The polystyrene Thermoboxes GN 1/1 from thermohauser constitute a reasonably priced, good quality alternative to the particularly high-quality transportation and insulation boxes made from EPP (expanded polypropylene).
