Cooling and warming plates GN 1/1 – for more heat or cooling

In order to influence specifically the temperature level within the insulation boxes, the use of our cooling and warming plates GN 1/1 might be the right choice. The plastic plates in the Gastronorm 1/1 size are suitable for all boxes with the measurements GN 1/1 and also for certain insulation boxes of the series Universal, if connected with a corresponding adapter element.

The warming plate – which is clearly visible in the red colour – can be heated in the lying (horizontal) position in a water bath or a steam oven at a maximum of +85 degrees Celsius and no longer than 30 to 40 minutes. Directly after this process, the warming plate can be placed in the box together with the warm dishes. Please pay attention to the fact that the warming plates are not suitable for the use in microwaves.

The cooling plate in a fresh blue colour shows the best effect if precooled in the lying (horizontal) position in the freezer at -21 degrees Celsius. After at least 24 hours the plate can be placed in the box with fresh dishes or refrigerated food. It has to be taken into account that the cooling plates are sensitive to shock directly after freezing and therefore should be handled with the required diligence.

The cooling and warming plates are a useful addition to keep a stable temperature level within the transportation and insulation boxes over a longer period of time.
